Executive SummaryMy name is Bryan Valentine and I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) from the College of Information. I spent my entire college career at the Florida State University (FSU). I am a leader from start to finish. With in depth Windows, Linux and Mac skills, and strong web and database design abilities my skills are superior. Throughout my career at FSU, I have developed a passion for networks and server administration. During my spring 2007 semester at Florida State University, I took part in a 16 week internship with the Supervisor of User Services at the College of Information. This internship was based on basic networking and physical infrastructure. I was able to install and configure my own server and network in a computer lab. My server ran the following services that I configured, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File Sharing, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Exchange Server. All these services were running on a Windows Server 2003 computer. During this internship I also learned how to cable, install/configure a switch, and install a UPS. This internship has made me want a career in networking. During school, I also learned a great deal about other valuable qualities necessary to be a successful Information Technology Professional. I have worked hard to perfect my writing and communication skills. Technical writing skills are important because IT involves lots of documentation. IT is also a collaborative field and proper communication skills will greatly benefit me. During my course work I took a course titled called Communication for Information Technology Professionals that greatly enhanced my skills. With my writing and communication skills I am very proficient in working as a team. I am a well rounded individual that can only add to any IT related organization.
